LIV INTERIOR DESIGNS
Whether new construction or a renovation, an entire home, or a small remodel, Olivia's guidance and expertise will guarantee to take the challenges out of designing your next project. Her knowledge regarding emerging trends and consideration of your unique design style will turn your vision to reality, and maybe inspire a few things you hadn't considered.
Initial Consultation
Let’s get started! We begin with our initial design consultation. This can be several hours and will cover a wide variety of topics to learn more about your needs and desires for you project, must-have’s, and establish your overall design style and vision. As your home will be an intimate, personal space, we like this consultation to also serve as the building block for our relationship with our clients, understanding the unique traits and characteristics of your home and your personality. You can expect to take some photos and measurements of your existing space, or an in-depth review of your architectural plans. During the initial consultation, we identify the scope of work for your project and our involvement in the overall design. This is also where your saved Pinterest or Houzz boards come in handy, providing a visual aid to your needs and expectations.

Set the Mood
Once we’ve gotten to know one another, we want to “set the mood” for your overall design. The “mood” is determined by embracing what inspires you, how you currently use and live in your space, and your favorite design styles. This back and forth exchange ultimately determines the direction of your project and identifies key areas. The Liv Designs team will prepare a presentation, illustrating several concepts for the overall look and feel of your space. In some instances, a furniture plan or 3D rendering may be provided as well to provide a better overall understanding of your vision. We understand that the design is fluid, and always changing. However, once we establish the overall design, we like to think our job as your interior design team is keep your selections in line with the original plan and we will continue to guide your choices accordingly.

Plan and Action
Now that the design and vision has been established, our team is invested in seeing the final product come to fruition. From the very beginning, we collaborate with everyone involved in the project. We have relationships with builders and vendors across town, and will coordinate and join you at these meetings to assist in making key design decisions not excluding: finalizing floor plans, spatial planning, cabinet design, tile, countertop, and flooring selections, lighting plans, custom trim work, paint selections, wall coverings, fabrics and textiles, furniture planning and selection, and window treatments, to name a few. Our goal and objective during the course of your project is to guide you in your design decisions to uphold the integrity of your original design. We can be as involved in the process as you’d like, from making the selections for you within budget, providing options to accommodate your busy schedule, or accompanying you to the meeting and pointing you in the right direction. By attending all the selection and builder meetings during the course of your project, we can verify every detail aligns with your vision and plan.

There are as many ways of working with people as there are interior designers, so we like to be upfront about our process and make it as easy as possible for you!
The process begins with an initial consultation of up to two hours, during which we will ask questions about your needs and desires for your project. Consultations are primarily for us to get to know each other and determine the scope of work. We may take photos and measurements of your existing space. We encourage you to start an inspiration board on Pinterest or Houzz, although this isn't required.

This is when the design direction is determined. This is a back and forth process. A "mood" is determined for the project by looking at what inspires you, how you live, and your favorite styles. After that, a presentation will be prepared by the Liv Designs team that shows several conceps for the overall look of the space. A furniture plan and 3D rendering may be provided at this time. Once we have agreed upon the direction, we move on to the next step in the process.

By collaborating with everyone involved in the project, we will help make key design decisions, including finalizing floor plans, spatial planning, cabinet design, tile, flooring, lighting, custom ceiling designs and trim work, paint colors, wall coverings, fabric, furniture, custom window treatments, and all other selections that are applicable to the project.

We also make visits to the project to ensure the design intent is reflected in the finished product. We will help keep track of what comes next in the project and manage any bumps alon the way!
